Washington moved up to 85 from 112 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in MAIS AAA I District 1. The Generals climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Starkville Academy 32-21.
Jackson Academy took down Magnolia Heights 35-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Duncan Maxwell ran for 135 yards and caught 1 passes for 15 yards in the win.
Washington's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Gore Pulliam threw for 154 yards and Bobby Elliott had 73 yards receiving. On the ground Landon Zepponi chipped in 143 yards. Roman Fratesi helped Washington's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 43 yards.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy's Caleb Shufelt and Zach McCraw have formed a dream team this season, leading MAIS AAA I District 1 in both passing and receiving yards. Shufelt has thrown for 611 yards this season, while McCraw has 14 catches for 277 yards. The Raiders' Maxwell leads the league in rushing yards with 456.
