The win got Durham School of the Arts back to even at 6-6. As for Southern School of Energy and Sustainability, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.

Everything went Durham School of the Arts' way against Southern School of Energy and Sustainability in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Durham School of the Arts made off with a 5-1 victory.
