Basketball Recap: Siuslaw Snaps 18-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Siuslaw had to endure a 15-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 39-29 victory over the Douglas Trojans on Tuesday.

Siuslaw's win ended an 18-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-18. As for Douglas, they dropped their record down to 2-18 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Siuslaw and Douglas could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings. Siuslaw will take on Sutherlin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday down 177 places (243 vs. 66). Similarly, Douglas (ranked 246th) will meet Coquille (ranked 22nd) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
