Basketball Game Preview: Nova Titans vs. Blanche Ely Tigers

The Nova Titans will be taking part in a tournament against the Blanche Ely Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Nova's tournament run continued when they took on Stoneman Douglas on Wednesday. The Titans blew past the Eagles, posting a 68-34 victory. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

It was another big night for Ke'Mora Evans, who posted 22 points in addition to five boards and five steals. Those 22 points gave her a new career-high. Ya'Niyah Young was another key player, putting up 14 points and five steals.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Blanche Ely faced off against Western on Thursday. The Tigers breezed past the Wildcats to the tune of 65-34. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 15th, while the Wildcats are ranked 66th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Nova's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Blanche Ely, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.

Nova suffered a grim 65-45 defeat to Blanche Ely when the teams last played on January 14th. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
