Volleyball Recap: Sheldon Comes Up Short

Sheldon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Sioux Center Warriors, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Orabs couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

Sheldon was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-23, 25-20.

Sheldon's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Sioux Center, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sheldon will challenge rival West Lyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sioux Center is set to face off against their familiar foe Rock Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
