Football Game Preview: Liberty Patriots vs. Foothill Falcons

The Liberty Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Foothill Falcons at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty's defense has only allowed 14.4 points per game this season, so Foothill's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Liberty is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Southeast Career Tech, who was ranked sixth at the time (Liberty was ranked fifth). Everything went Liberty's way against Southeast Career Tech on Monday as Liberty made off with a 30-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won six matches by 24 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Foothill has relied on a stalwart defense averaging 13.5 points allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Friday. They were outmatched by Desert Oasis and fell 42-6. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Diamondbacks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Liberty pushed their record up to 9-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Foothill, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 6-4.

Everything came up roses for Liberty against Foothill when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 48-6 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Foothill's Savannna Truax, who rushed for 88 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries.
