Basketball Recap: Putnam County Takes a Loss

Putnam County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were dealt a 71-43 loss at the hands of the Kewanee Boilermakers. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 63-27 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Putnam County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-20. As for Kewanee, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam County has already played their next match (against St. Bede), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Kewanee will be playing at home against Erie-Prophetstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
