Softball Recap: South Central Continues Home Dominance on Monday

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Bern, South Central was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the West Carteret Patriots a 4-0 shutout. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

The team relied heavily on Haven Roebuck, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3.

South Central pushed their record up to 9-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for West Carteret, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Central will take on New Bern at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Carteret, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pisgah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Patriots surely won't give up without a fight.
