Basketball Recap: Westview Victorious

Westview won the last time they faced Maranatha Christian and things went their way on Friday too. The Westview Wolverines walked away with a 51-43 win over the Maranatha Christian Eagles.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dash Ekeroth, who posted 12 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Cole Niguidula, who had nine points and five rebounds.

The victory got Westview back to even at 7-7. As for Maranatha Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season.

Westview will head out to square off against Rancho Bernardo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rancho Bernardo has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Maranatha Christian, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Maranatha Christian Eagles face off against the San Pasqual Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maranatha Christian is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
