The North Beach Hyaks suffered their biggest loss since December 1, 2023 on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Ocosta, falling 62-30. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat North Beach has suffered against Ocosta since December 7, 2018.
Anna Davis was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 21 rebounds for Ocosta. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Davis has scored all season. Alexia Bradley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.
North Beach's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.1 points per game. As for Ocosta, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
North Beach will look to defend their home court on Friday against Chief Leschi at 6:00 p.m. Chief Leschi is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Ocosta, they will head out on the road to take on Pe Ell at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
