Baseball Game Preview: Hillcrest Huskies vs. Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle

For the second straight game, Hillcrest will face off against Juan Diego Catholic. The Huskies will square off against the Soaring Eagle at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering Hillcrest has lost three straight at home and Juan Diego Catholic six straight on the road (dating back to last season), this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum.

Hillcrest lost 18-3 to Juan Diego Catholic on Tuesday.

For Juan Diego Catholic's part, Lange Livonius was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. Those three hits gave Livonius a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tage McKinley, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Livonius wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Juan Diego Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillcrest only managed seven hits.

The win snapped Juan Diego Catholic's losing streak at six games and leaves them with a 4-8 record. As for Hillcrest, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.
