Basketball Recap: South-Doyle Piles Up the Points Against Union County

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South-Doyle). They blew past the Union County Patriots 68-40 on Friday. The win was just business as usual for the Cherokees, who after five games remain undefeated this season.

Leading South-Doyle to victory were Payton Rollins and Veda Farr. Rollins posted 16 points, while Farr scored 15 points and three steals. Rollins has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 21 times she's played. Player #21 was another key player, putting up eight points and four steals.

South-Doyle was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

South-Doyle's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Union County, they suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 2-2.
