Preview: Rouse Raiders vs. Lockhart Lions
Rouse has been on the road for six straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Lockhart Lions at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Rouse scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Lehman 82-33 on the road. That 82-33 margin sets a new team best for Rouse this season.
Devin Brown continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 23 points. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Amarie Haywood, who scored 15 points.
Meanwhile, Lockhart ended up a good deal behind Cedar Park on Tuesday and lost 73-57. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lockhart in their matchups with Cedar Park: they've now lost seven in a row.
Rouse is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Lockhart, they bumped their record down to 8-8 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Rouse against Lockhart in their previous meeting back in January as the squad secured a 69-29 victory. With Rouse ahead 41-20 at the half, the game was all but over already.
