Basketball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Mcbee

McBee won the last time they faced Lee Central and Hayden Griggs did his part to make sure it happened again. The Panthers snuck past the Stallions with a 45-40 win on Tuesday for which the team can thank Griggs, who made all 8 shots he took for 16 points in addition to seven rebounds and four blocks. Thanks to that strong game, he now owns an excellent 76.9% shooting accuracy.

Several Stallions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Wyatt Halley, who posted nine points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Sinatra Rembert, who scored 14 points and five rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for McBee and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Lee Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. McBee is set to challenge their familiar foe Lamar at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Lee Central will take on rival C.A. Johnson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
