            Baseball Preview: Everett Vikings vs. Eastern Quakers        
        
		
        
        
            The Everett Vikings will face off against the Eastern Quakers at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with eight consecutive losses for Everett and four for Eastern.
Things were looking good for Everett after they put the first  run on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against  Central, falling  9-3.

 Nolan Prevo put in work while hitting and pitching. He  didn't allow a single  hit and  allowed only two  earned runs while striking out nine over four innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases.
 Prevo wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Emmett Leidi, who  went 1-for-3 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.  Jesus G-Torres also deserves some recognition as  he  scored his first  run of the season.
 Meanwhile, Eastern lost  9-2 to St. Johns on Tuesday.
 Everett's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Eastern, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.
 Everything went Everett's way against Eastern when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, as Everett made off with  a  17-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Vikings since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
