Volleyball Game Preview: Manitou Springs Mustangs vs. The Vanguard School Coursers

The Manitou Springs Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against The Vanguard School Coursers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Manitou Springs will be strutting in after a win while The Vanguard School will be coming in after a defeat.

On Tuesday, Manitou Springs made easy work of Atlas Preparatory School and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Gryphons: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, The Vanguard School came up short against Pueblo County on Saturday and fell 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 20-25, 25-20.

The Vanguard School has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Manitou Springs, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Manitou Springs might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from The Vanguard School in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
