Basketball Recap: Danville Comes Up Short

Danville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 69-67 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hector Wildcats. The Little Johns were probably out for revenge after losing 55-41 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Danville's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Hector, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Danville has already played their next matchup (against Hackett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hector Wildcats duke it out with the Acorn Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hector's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests.
