Godby has gone a perfect 7-0 against Jefferson County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Godby Cougars take on Jefferson County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Saturday just wasn't the day for Godby's offense. They came up short against Menendez on Saturday, falling 12-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ryan Scott made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Roque, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with four stolen bases.

Meanwhile, Jefferson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 15-0 to Aucilla Christian. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Godby's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Jefferson County, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Godby took their win against Jefferson County when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-4. Will Godby repeat their success, or does Jefferson County has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
