Volleyball Recap: Rachel Pimienta and Gihanna Acosta Secure Win for Clark

Clark not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since September 3, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Eldorado Firehawks with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Firehawks: they've now won three in a row.

Clark walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 25-20, 25-17.

Clark was led to victory by Gihanna Acosta and Rachel Pimienta. Acosta had seven digs and two aces, while Pimienta had seven digs. That's the most aces Acosta has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Clark was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 17 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

Clark's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Eldorado, they dropped their record down to 3-12 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

After both having extra time off, Clark and Cimarron-Memorial will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eldorado, they will venture away from home to take on Bonanza at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
