Volleyball Recap: Banner County Takes a Loss

Banner County suffered their biggest loss since September 9th on Thursday. They came up short against the South Platte Blue Knights, falling 3-0. The Wildcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Blue Knights from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Banner County took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-21.

Kyrie Roldan paced Banner County's offense, picking up five kills. Roldan got some help from Leeigh McGowan and her five assists. Makynna Boettcher controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Banner County's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for South Platte, their win ended a six-match drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-14.

Banner County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Lingle-Fort Laramie on the 4th. As for South Platte, they will challenge Dundy County-Stratton at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
