Basketball Game Preview: New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets vs. St. John Woodchucks

The New Rockford-Sheyenne Rockets will head out on the road to take on the St. John Woodchucks at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. St. John took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on New Rockford-Sheyenne, who comes in off a win.

Back in December of 2024, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, New Rockford-Sheyenne beat Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter 30-25.

Meanwhile, St. John came up short against Our Redeemer's Christian on Tuesday and fell 66-58. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (57), the Woodchucks still had to take the loss.

New Rockford-Sheyenne's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for St. John, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

New Rockford-Sheyenne might still be hurting after the 70-47 loss they got from St. John in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can New Rockford-Sheyenne avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
