Baseball Recap: Stringer Wins Going Away Against Quitman

Stringer was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Quitman on Saturday. The Stringer Red Devils put the hurt on the Quitman Panthers with a sharp 12-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.

Stringer's victory bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Quitman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stringer will take on Southeast Lauderdale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Quitman will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Forest at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th.
