Softball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders vs. Fort Lauderdale Flying L's

The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Fort Lauderdale Flying L at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

St. Thomas Aquinas is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Palm Beach Gardens just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Wednesday. They came up short against the Gators, falling 10-0.

Meanwhile, Fort Lauderdale waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The Flying L's might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

Fort Lauderdale's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11.

St. Thomas Aquinas might still be hurting after the 6-0 defeat they got from Fort Lauderdale in their previous meeting back in April of 2023. Can the Raiders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
