Baseball Recap: Greater Beckley Christian Sets Scoring Season-High Against Summit Christian Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Greater Beckley Christian). They were the clear victors by a 19-12 margin over the Summit Christian Academy Falcons on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Kaden Bolen and Paul Fox did most of the damage at the plate: Bolen went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI, while Fox got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most runs Bolen has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Nguyen, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Greater Beckley Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Summit Christian Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Greater Beckley Christian will welcome Cameron at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Summit Christian Academy, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on James Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on May 5.
