Football Recap: Emery Takes a Loss

If Emery was feeling good fresh off their 69-0 takedown of Grand County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans lost 41-21 to the South Sevier Rams on Friday. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rams apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

South Sevier's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bridger Bradshaw, who threw for 222 yards and three TDs, and also punched in one score on the ground. Masen Healey was in the mix as well, providing the Rams with two touchdowns.

Emery's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for South Sevier, the win keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Emery will head out to face off against San Juan at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for South Sevier, they will venture away from home to square off against Rich at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams will need to watch out since the Rebels have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
