Northside extended their home winning streak to ten games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Laila Pope. The Patriots came out on top against the Central Red Devils by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday for which the team can thank Pope, who had seven aces and three digs. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Northside was: they took both sets by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-13.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Northside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Veterans on the 28th. As for Central, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Auburn at 6:00 p.m. on the 9th.
