Basketball Recap: Tri-County North Takes a Loss

Tri-County North was the 42-36 winner over National Trail when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Tri-County North Panthers took a 28-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the National Trail Blazers.

Despite the loss, Tri-County North still got an impressive performance from Bella Cherry, who posted ten points in addition to seven steals and five boards. That was a full 41.7% of Tri-County North's points, marking the third time in a row Cherry has put up more than a third of the team's points. Grace Hemp was another key player, putting up four points and six steals.

National Trail was led to victory by Morgan House and Josie Stiner. House dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds, while Stiner earned nine points and four steals. House is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Ollie Mason also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Tri-County North has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season. National Trail's record now sits at 10-13.

Tri-County North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for National Trail, they have already played their next game, a 42-3 defeat against Anna on the 19th.
