Volleyball Game Preview: Culver City Centaurs vs. Santa Monica Vikings

Culver City hasn't had much luck against Santa Monica recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Centaurs will take on the Vikings at 3:30 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Culver City got the win against Leuzinger by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Centaurs in their matchups with the Olympians: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Santa Monica made easy work of Lawndale on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Santa Monica was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-15.

Santa Monica's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-8. As for Culver City, their victory bumped their record up to 14-8.

Culver City suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Santa Monica in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Centaurs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
