Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Stratton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 49-39 to the McClave Cardinals on Friday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Emily Melgoza had an outrageously good game for McClave as she shot 73% from the field on her way to 19 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Melgoza a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Abrielle Gomez, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and 12 boards.

Stratton's loss dropped their record down to 21-6. As for McClave, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-2 record this season.

As of now, neither Stratton nor McClave have any future games scheduled.
