Volleyball Recap: Aspire Langston Hughes Academy Takes a Loss

Aspire Langston Hughes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Turlock Christian Eagles. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Eagles 25-21 in the first set.

Aspire Langston Hughes Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-10, 25-17, 25-18.

Claire Betts was the offensive standout of the match as she had 14 assists and seven digs. That's the most assists she has posted over her last two contests. Paisley Porter also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Aspire Langston Hughes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13-1. As for Turlock Christian, they moved to 4-20-1 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.
