Softball Recap: Kearsley Takes a Loss

Kearsley extended their losing streak to 11 on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-13. They lost 18-1 to the Lake Fenton Blue Devils. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Blue Devils from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

As for Lake Fenton, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-8. The result was nothing new for the Blue Devils, who have now won 11 matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Lake Fenton's part, the team relied heavily on Olivia Brokoff, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Brokoff has posted over her last 13 contests. Another player making a difference was Eva Gregory, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples and three runs.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kearsley will challenge Brandon on Saturday. As for Lake Fenton, they will head out to face off against Clio at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
