Recap: Clovis North Broncos vs. Buchanan Bears
On Friday, Clovis North suffered a tough 43-20 defeat at the hands of Buchanan. Clovis North has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Clovis North saw an underclassman step up: Brock Parker picked up 37 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Buchanan found their leader in underclassman Gannon Sever, who rushed for 117 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Menzes, who threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.
Clovis North's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-1. As for Buchanan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clovis North will take on Central at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games. As for Buchanan, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Clovis East at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
