Basketball Recap: Robert Toombs Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Robert Toombs Christian Academy lost against Brentwood back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders took a 55-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brentwood War Eagles. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brentwood to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cadence English, who went 9 for 15 on her way to 30 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points English has posted since back in December of 2023. Bailey Barron was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 18 boards.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Brentwood, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Robert Toombs Christian Academy will host Edmund Burke Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Edmund Burke Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season. As for Brentwood, they will head out to challenge First Presbyterian Day at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. First Presbyterian Day will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Brentwood surely won't give up without a fight.
