Basketball Recap: Plattsburgh Takes a Loss

Plattsburgh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 54-45 to the Beekmantown Eagles. The Hornets were probably out for revenge after losing 48-39 to them when the teams met back in February, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Payton Parliament continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Beekmantown, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Parliament has scored at least a third of Beekmantown's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Miller, who posted ten points and three steals.

Plattsburgh's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Beekmantown, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Plattsburgh will finish 2024 at home by hosting Champlain Valley Union at 1:30 p.m. on December 28th. Beekmantown and Franklin Academy will round out the year against one another at at 2:00 p.m. on December 27th.
