Basketball Recap: Cristo Rey Comes Up Short

Cristo Rey lost against Tenor back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cristo Rey Trailblazers took a blow against Tenor, falling 65-37.

Tenor was led to victory by Shane Emanuel and Anton Bounds. Emanuel went 8 of 13 on his way to 27 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals, while Bounds dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. Bounds has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more rebounds the last 11 times he's played. Dawan Sloan was another key player, going 5 for 12 en route to 10 points and three steals.

Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Tenor, their record is now 8-6.

Cristo Rey will challenge St. Anthony at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tenor does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
