Softball Recap: Notre Dame-Green Pond Comes Up Short

Notre Dame-Green Pond lost against Pen Argyl back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Crusaders fell just short of the Green Knights by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by just one run.

Notre Dame-Green Pond saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Claire Ceraul, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Notre Dame-Green Pond and nudges their season record down to 11-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only one runs. As for Pen Argyl, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Notre Dame-Green Pond is set to face off against their familiar foe Wilson Area at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pen Argyl will square off against rival Bangor at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
