Basketball Recap: Chevak Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Chevak extended their home winning streak to nine games thanks to a huge performance from Ian Chayalkun. The Chevak Comets came out on top against the Tikigaq Harpooners by a score of 62-51 on Saturday with plenty of help from Chayalkun, who posted 13 points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last three times he's played.

Chevak has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.9 points over those games. Tikigaq now has a losing record of 11-12.

As of now, neither Chevak nor Tikigaq have any future games scheduled.
