Softball Preview: Payette Pirates vs. Homedale Trojans
Payette is 2-8 against Homedale since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Pirates will head out to take on the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Payette is headed into Monday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They fell 9-4 to Caldwell.
Payette saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucia Walker, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one RBI. Sam Parsons was another, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.
Meanwhile, Homedale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-3 to Cole Valley Christian.
