Baseball Game Preview: Grand County Red Devils vs. North Sevier Wolves

The Grand County Red Devils will challenge the North Sevier Wolves at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither Grand County nor North Sevier posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Grand County is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering San Juan just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the Broncos.

Grand County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kalan Bowden, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Another was Ean Ellis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, North Sevier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against San Juan, falling 16-2.

North Sevier's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Grand County, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Grand County took their victory against North Sevier when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
