Volleyball Recap: Lutheran North Comes Up Short

Lutheran North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Westminster Christian Wildcats. The Crusaders were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-9, 25-13.

Westminster Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sophia Arana, who had six aces and three digs. Those six aces gave Arana a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Sharlow, who had three digs and three aces.

Lutheran North's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Westminster Christian, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-1.

Lutheran North has already played their next matchup (against Principia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Westminster Christian, they will host Lutheran South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
