Softball Recap: Sherando Warriors vs. Fauquier Falcons
While Sherando put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Fauquier. The Warriors walked away with a 4-0 win over the Falcons. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Falcons on April 2nd, they had to take a 1-0 defeat.
Not much got past Lilian Wray, who gave up just a hit to keep Fauquier off the board. Wray has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sophia Zimmerman, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Makayla Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI.

Sherando pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.
