Softball Recap: Klein Oak's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

After a string of six wins, Klein Oak's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They lost 13-3 to the Tomball Cougars. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this contest were averaging 3.57 runs allowed.

Klein Oak saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aubrey Lacour, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Klein Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Tomball, the victory was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Klein Oak will take on rival Magnolia West at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.6, the Mustangs 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Tomball is set to square off against their familiar foe Tomball Memorial at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
