Basketball Recap: Tecumseh Comes Up Short

Tecumseh had lost 11 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 2-19 to make it 12. They took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Troy Trojans. The Arrows were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

As for Troy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.7 points on average over those games.

Jayda Dillow was nothing short of spectacular: she went 7-for-10 to rack up 15 points. Those 15 points gave her a new career-high. Elayna Ernst was another key player, putting up ten points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tecumseh will venture away from home to square off against Bellbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Troy, they will head out to face off against Stebbins at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
