Baseball Recap: Coleman Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Coleman lost to Cisco last Tuesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Bluecats came out on top against the Loboes by a score of 8-5.

Easton Meador made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skyler Clark, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he launched this season. Another player making a difference was Kyle Chambers, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Coleman's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cisco, their record now sits at 8-6-2.

Coming up, Coleman will head out to challenge De Leon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cisco, they will challenge Winters at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Loboes are facing the Blizzards at the right time seeing as the Blizzards are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
