Volleyball Recap: Eaglecrest Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Caitlin Lengefeld and Natalia Jarzebczyk

Eaglecrest was the 2-1 winner over Rampart when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Raptors fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Raptors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Eaglecrest sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 20-25, 18-16.

Eaglecrest's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Natalia Jarzebczyk, who had nine assists and five digs, and Caitlin Lengefeld, who had eight assists and seven digs. Ella Mack also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Gabriella Melecio continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Rampart, getting 27 digs and one assist.

Eaglecrest now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Rampart, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Eaglecrest didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Broomfield on the 13th. As for Rampart, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pine Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
