Basketball Recap: De La Salle North Catholic Takes a Loss

De La Salle North Catholic lost against Westside Christian back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The De La Salle North Catholic Knights wound up with the same score they had in their last game (61-52), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oregon basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while the Eagles are ranked fourth).

De La Salle North Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Westside Christian, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. De La Salle North Catholic will challenge Oregon Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oregon Episcopal knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully De La Salle North Catholic likes a good challenge. As for Westside Christian, they will face off against Catlin Gabel at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Catlin Gabel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
