Baseball Recap: Glenbrook Triumphs

Glenbrook's game last Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Evangel Christian Academy Eagles as the Glenbrook Apaches made off with a 10-2 victory. The win continues a trend for the Apaches in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Sam Ricord spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

At the plate, Ryan Reagan was a standout: he scored two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Dawson Day was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Glenbrook's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2-1. As for Evangel Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Glenbrook will have a chance to go back-to-back against Evangel Christian Academy: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
