Basketball Recap: Detroit Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Detroit came into Saturday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Bowie Pirates by a score of 40-27 on Saturday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 52-46 back in December of 2024.

Detroit's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-12. As for Bowie, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

Detroit will take on Rivercrest at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowie, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pewitt at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
