Volleyball Recap: West Davidson's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three + How To Watch

While West Davidson's victory against Trinity wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Bulldogs on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Dragons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

West Davidson had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 21-25, 25-20, 25-18, 16-14.

Alex Hester paced West Davidson's offense, picking up 18 kills. Hester got some help from Emoree Terry and her 37 assists. Finally, Hester was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Trinity lost, don't look at Avalynn Johnson. Despite the final result, she had 51 assists and 19 digs. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted 14 or more assists the last 46 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Charlee Phillips, who had 18 digs and two aces.

West Davidson's record now sits at 14-8. As for Trinity, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-11.
