Basketball Recap: Wayland-Cohocton Takes a Loss

Wayland-Cohocton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 49-33 to the Pavilion Golden Gophers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Golden Gophers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 66-30 back in January.

Wayland-Cohocton's loss dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Pavilion, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Wayland-Cohocton will square off against Avon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Wayland-Cohocton is facing Avon at the right time seeing as Avon is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Pavilion, they will welcome Dansville at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
